Dr. Wayne Wilde graduated from the University of Houston Optometry School in 1980. He is an accomplished member of the Optometric community, holding memberships in good standing in the American Optometric Association, the Michigan Optometric Association, and the Metropolitan Detroit Optometric Society. Dr. Wilde served on the TLC Laser Eye Centers Optometric Board of Advisors for over ten years. He has been awarded the prestigious America’s Top Optometrists Award and has been voted Oakland County’s “Best of the Best” Optometrist for an impressive six years in a row. Dr. Wilde carries the highest level of Optometric certification, being both DPA and TPA certified. He has enjoyed over 30 years of private practice in his hometown of Waterford, Michigan. Dr. Wilde has always believed in focusing on providing thorough eyecare using a detail-oriented approach.

Dr. Wilde has been voted #1 Best Eye Doctor by the Oakland Press Reader’s Choice Awards for six years in a row! Reader’s received the Best of the Best ballots throughout the month of March in the Oakland Press newspaper. They are encouraged to voice their opinion and mail in the ballots. The top five winners are entered into the next phase, which is an online vote. The ballots are tallied and a determination is made of 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and honorable mention. For the sixth year in a row, Dr. Wilde has received the highest honor of 1st place! Dr. Wilde, along with the other winners, are featured in the special section “Best of the Best Reader’s Choice Awards” of the Oakland Press. “I am truly grateful for this honor. I pride myself in the thorough, personal care and dedication I give to each and every patient. To continually receive this award shows that my patients feel that same pride in me,” said Dr. Wilde.
